Moving Futures Festival 2017

On the 8th and 9th of April, Moving Futures festival travelled to Groningen for the first time! For two days the festival presented an inspiring and versatile dance program. As hosts of the Groningen edition, Random Collision and the Grand Theatre invited the audience to not only see the performances but to move, talk and write along with the makers.

Moving Futures festival presents the most prominent young artists of the moment connected to the five Dutch dance houses Dansmakers Amsterdam, Dansateliers, DansBrabant, De Nieuwe Oost and Random Collision. In eight different theaters throughout the country the audience gets a peek behind the scenes of a new generation of contemporary dance makers. Dance makers who dare to touch upon societal  issues and look for a common ground between dance, human behavior, philosophy and science.
