Trilogy Project 2011

Trilogy Project is Random Collision’s yearly residency project for 3 seasons (2010 – 2013), each edition supports, facilitates and exposes the work of 3 talented young choreographers. During a six weeks residency, the choreographers are each given the chance to develop their own choreographic concept into a new work, involving the public in the process via classes and a studio presentation after 3 weeks of research and creation. The Trilogy Project performance is the result of their process and an exciting evening of world premieres by fresh promising talent in the field of choreography.

Vis-à-Vis. Meeting with A

You begin, like all things that move,
attentive to the moving,
you continue as attentiveness,
attend to someone else,
you continue as someone else,
performing for a third,
four of them now turn to you,
you barely seem to move.

Fernando Martins

Blank Paper

Look into the eyes of our elaborate plans. Understand the meaning of not being surprised. Bring to life the scene you made in your mind. Learn to forget before you slip into unconsciousness. Speak in secret alphabets. Desperately in need…of some…stranger’s hand. Remember the smell, the word, the colors. Be in contact with the thing you never saw. Have the right to be late, or even to lie. Slow down. Memorize the actions and decisions taken; explore your body and your mind. Go to a dangerous place to fix all memories. Take a blank paper and start to write your own history.

Choreography | Fernando Martins de Paiva
Performers | Anka Majcher, Eilit Marom, Yael Cibulski
Music | The Doors, Chonomad, Stephan Micus, Amon Tobin, Django Reinhardt
Film | Mateus Dutra, Lu Barcelos and Fernando Martins

Ido Batash

Stew of Mollusks

Within the shimmer of surrealism, hidden cries of animals echo truth and fantasy.
Along misery sounds of ringing bells, strange grotesque characters wander in a nowhere land of gloomy magic.
Vague landscapes and nagging winds force their bodies on a journey in search of validity.

Performers | Nir Benita, Laura Meuris, Olive Lopez
Live music | Anton Berman
Costumes | Felix van Driem
